I have a specific process for keeping my photos (and videos) organized, easy to find, and preserved in each of the 3 ways photo experts recommend. All without breaking the bank or losing my mind.
The whole process is really fun, but it also gives me such peace of mind! I worry much less about fire, water leaks, natural disasters, etc.
Everyone’s preferences are a little different, so not everything I do is automatically the way everyone would love doing it, but there is a lot to be said for learning a proven process and then using it yourself.
So I have decided to share my own process for preserving my photos and videos using FOREVER since it’s permanent, private, and the best quality I’ve ever seen in 20+ years as a memory-keeping guide.
The step-by-step pieces of my process are here, but I also made a video where I show you (around minute 15) the nuts and bolts of what my process looks like. I take a selfie and walk that photo all the way through the process in 11 minutes!

Hi Jennifer, I hope to read more about your process of organizing and preserving photos. I have boxes of old photos from my parents, and both sets of grandparents! It is overwhelming!
ReplyDeleteHi, Leslie. Thanks for stopping in to see my process. The video is about 30 minutes, so suggest grabbing some popcorn and watching it like a TV show. :) I walk you through exactly what I do. Although my focus is on the current photos I'm taking, I know it can be overwhelming to inherit photos, as you mentioned. I recommend getting them digitized so they can be organized and shared digitally. I can help with all of the above. :) https://www.forever.com/ambassador/jennifer-wise/digital-conversion You can reach out to me at photoandstorytreasures@gmail.com for specifics, too. I'm glad you stopped by!
DeleteVery interesting to follow your process.

Thank you for checking it out, Amalia.
DeleteI love your list of benefits! I'm happy to see you included "healing" on the list. I'm currently working on photos from 2021, which are of precious family members I no longer get to see. It's both heart-wrenching and healing to look through all those pictures and videos again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that with us, Lisa. I agree--going through old photos can be both heart-wrenching and healing. I found when I made my mom's life storybook a couple of years after she passed that it really helped me to focus on everything I HAVE, everything I have GAINED--not lost--from being her daughter. It was the nature of the book to take that view, and I can't tell you how healing it was! So happy you stopped in, Lisa.
