Calling all bloggers! Join us here at the Will Blog for Comments linkup, a family-friendly place where bloggers come together to share their posts.
- The "Will Blog for Comments" bi-weekly linkup will opens every other Monday at 8:00am Mountain Time and remain open for 10 days (longer over some holidays).
- Each linkup will close 10 days after opening, on Thursday at 8:00pm MT, or when the linkup reaches 50 posts.
- The most popular posts from the previous linkup will be featured in the spotlight during the next linkup.
- Please don't forget that the rule to participate in this linkup is that you must visit and comment on at least 2 other posts. This is not a drop-a-link-and-run party. It's an exchange.
- NOTE: I visit and comment on each link shared, so if you don't see a comment from your host, it means there was a problem with your link and/or comment restrictions in place.
- All featured posts will be Pinned to one of my Pinterest boards for extra visibility.
- Featured posts in the Spotlight are based on popularity as chosen by readers. These tend to be from those shared here in the first day or two of the linkup. Many shared later on in the linkup only get seen by me, which is a shame, so I also feature one of my personal favorites that you might have missed as Host's Choice.
Welcome to our Current LinkUp,
Will Blog for Comments #71, open October 20 - 30.
WHAT'S NEW AROUND HERE
As expected, I loved seeing the south of England! My brother and sister and I had a lot of fun. In 7 days, I think we took all the transport you can in England: car, bus, ferry, Tube, high-speed train, and taxi. I have been to London before (25 years ago) but I even saw a few new things there.
For example, I had never crossed the Tower Bridge on an open-air bus. You can scan this QR to watch:
Big Ben continues to impress.
Westminster Abbey is still overwhelmingly breathtaking.
St. Paul's is still its gorgeous-architectural-marvel self.
The Tower of London is still impressive, and the Crown Jewels are still there.
Aside from London, I really enjoyed Oxford, Stonehenge, the Cotswolds, and any cathedral and castle we could find (looking at you, Salisbury Cathedral), but I was especially taken with the Isle of Wight and Dover.

I was shocked to see everything that grows on the Isle of Wight--it was like all my favorite things in one place: rhododendrons (blooming in October!), palm trees, holly, fuchsia, and more. You can see how tall the canna lilies are here if you look carefully for my brother and me standing behind them.

And the White Cliffs at Dover really are just spectacular!
As you might guess, I took over 60 pictures a day, so I'm spending time this week backing them up in my private Forever Cloud and adding Descriptions (the story behind the photo and my memories of it) to give my photos meaning and to make scrapbooking them really easy since I'll already know what to write and the photos are organized.
And just like that, October is half over! I'll be staying put here at home with my family, working my passions as an adjunct instructor, interpreter, and FOREVER Ambassador until December when I get to travel with my husband again, this time for our anniversary.
I hope you are enjoying the crispness and colors of October!

We didn't really do it on purpose, but today is the 10-year anniversary of our mom's passing, and we leave for London the day after the 10-year mark of her funeral, so I can't help but think of her. I know she loves that we're doing this. :)
