WHAT'S NEW AROUND HERE
Given how long I've been scrapbooking and doing digital memory-keeping, I can't believe this is true, but:
I just got back from an amazing weekend scrapbooking retreat! I planned it with two members of my FOREVER team, and I was presenting a couple of our mini-classes, so I wasn't sure how relaxing it would be, but WOW!
We got a great VRBO that was quiet and had lots of seats for sitting down with laptops to work. It was just lovely.
My goal for the weekend was to make as much progress as possible at adding descriptions and correcting dates of old scrapbook pages that had been scanned. I can't believe how much I got accomplished and how much I learned from others! It was AWESOME. I completed 1995-2003!
One of the gals made this scrapbook page about our retreat. We had it in a location central to the 3 of us who were putting it on, which was Las Vegas. I made this little quip about what "stays in Vegas" as we were planning it, and it sort of became our theme. ha ha
We are already talking about doing this again next year!

DeleteYou had a very exciting vacation, Jennifer. I live about 40 minutes from Biltmore and visit frequently. It is a beautiful estate and the gardens are gorgeous in all seasons. How lucky to live close enough to Biltmore to visit often. It's a beautiful, peaceful place. I'm sure every season has something special--we all mentioned when we were there that it must be gorgeous in the fall. I'm sure it is indeed spectacular at Christmas--what a sight it must be! DeleteOh yes I LOVED the Biltmore and the Smoky Mountains and even the bears... but I would NOT have wanted to find one in my car. Yikes. Glad you figured out how to scare them out of your brother's car before they did any real damage.
ReplyDeleteYes, thankfully those bear claws didn't do any real damage in the car, but we did get a photo of a clear, dirty, mama bear paw print on the black leather of the passenger's side door after they left! ha It was quite the trip.
