Calling all bloggers! Join us here at the Will Blog for Comments linkup, a family-friendly place where bloggers come together to share their posts.
- The "Will Blog for Comments" bi-weekly linkup will open every other Monday at 8:00am Mountain Time and remain open for 10 days (longer over some holidays).
- Each linkup will close 10 days after opening, on Thursday at 8:00pm MT, or when the linkup reaches 50 posts.
- If you're a family-friendly blogger, come share your posts following the participation rules.
- Know great bloggers who would enjoy sharing their posts and visiting others here? Invite them, too!
- The most popular posts from the previous linkup will be featured in the spotlight during the next linkup.
- Please don't forget that the rule to participate in this linkup is that you must visit and comment on at least 2 other posts. This is not a drop-a-link-and-run party. It's an exchange.
- NOTE: I visit and comment on each link shared, so if you don't see a comment from your host, it means there was a problem with your link and/or comment restrictions in place.
- Featured posts in the spotlight are based on popularity as chosen by readers.
- All featured posts will be Pinned to one of my Pinterest boards for extra visibility.
- The most-viewed posts that end up in the Spotlight tend to be from those shared here in the first day or two of the linkup. Many shared later on in the linkup only get seen by me, which is a shame, so I also feature one of my personal favorites that you might have missed as Host's Choice.
Welcome to our Current LinkUp,
Will Blog for Comments #67, open August 18 - 28.
WHAT'S NEW AROUND HERE
I really love the carefree days of summer. When school starts, it feels like summer is over, but the truth is that we have more than a month left! The autumnal equinox this year is September 22.
While this linkup is open, I'll start back teaching at both of the colleges I teach for. I've spent this week holed up in my home office preparing syllabi and course schedules for my three classes. Even though it's the "same" course, the two schools have different schedules, different curricula, different online learning management systems, and even different time zones! It feels a lot like I'm driving two trains on two different tracks that aren't always parallel even though the destination is the same! But I have a passion for teaching American Sign Language to beginning learners, so here we are. :)
This week, I've also spent a little time taking videos of the rooms of my house to put in my private digital cloud. This slide was shared at the Forever conference I attended in July by the woman who lived it.
Patti's home ~ the Altadena-Eaton fire in California Someone later suggested how easy it would be to take videos of our homes and put them in the Forever Cloud since it's private there and also permanent (unlike Google & Dropbox, etc.). So I did some of that this week. It's been hard for me to not clean every room first before taking video, so I have to remind myself that these videos are for insurance purposes and will hopefully never be seen! And that I'll be so thankful I have them if they are.
During this linkup, too, I'll be taking a quick trip with my husband to Estes Park and part of Rocky Mountain National Park. I just love a day or two away, so I'm really looking forward to it! I hope you're doing something fun, too.
