WHAT'S NEW AROUND HERE
First, I did something special for Mother's Day. As I mentioned last time, my mom graduated to heaven 11 years ago. Not being able to see her or talk to her is getting a little old, so this year I decided to go "see" her. I spent Mother's Day weekend in Portland, Oregon, where she was born and raised. Flying in to the place she called home was so sweet for me.
I actually started out with a drive to the coast because she loved it there so much. I went to Seaside because it's the best place to find sand dollars on the Oregon Coast. This is the first one I found.
The second thing that's new around here is that I'm getting ready to start my big summer goal of talking to 69 people! I'd love your help--please pass this on to anyone you know who loves taking pictures & videos and wants them to be preserved and accessible even after they pass on.
Now off to the spotlights from last time! I can't wait to see what you share (old posts or new) this time. Enjoy exploring!

ReplyDeleteMe, too! I love finding new nativities when I travel also. For me, it might need to be more of a "give away the ones I don't love" rather than stop collecting them. ha :) You're welcome, and thank you for being a great part of our linkup!

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome--and thank you for sharing your fun projects with us. I couldn't help myself sharing your "bloggers' dos and don'ts"--it really was one of my favorite reads from the last couple of weeks, and I think you said everything so well and gave us all such important reminders. Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm now walking without the boot and getting back into things, which is nice. My goal today is go for a 15-minute walk in the sunshine. :) Have a great week, too!
DeleteThanks so much, Jennifer, for the feature for the thrifted crafts. Learning a new skill is always fun and a little intimidating but fun wins out. Your new on-line course sounds really interesting. I really appreciate all the inspiration and information you have on your blog.
ReplyDeleteLynne, Thrifting Wonderland
I agree--sometimes it's a little intimidating (or downright scary) to learn a new skill, but the process is fun anyway. :) Thank you--yes, I'm hoping the online event at the end of April will be both helpful and fun! DeleteOh no!!! It's an awful feeling having your credit card stolen - and such a BIG hassle, too! I'm glad you were able to at least get a bit of a laugh out of it! Thanks for the party, Jennifer! May the coming weeks bring less stress to your world!
ReplyDeleteExactly--it is all of those things. Ug. Thank you for the stress-free wishes! :) Thanks for being a great part of our linkup, Laura. We're happy you're here.
DeleteHi, Jennifer. Your Mother's Day trip, did you go by herself or did your sister go with you? I have always thought about taking a trip solo, but I've been 'afraid' too. It's the 'what ifs' that get me. What if my car breaks down or what if I get lost. However that one is irrelevant now with MAPs on my phone! I came to your party a day early :) I'll be back tomorrow with my link!
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
Yes, I went by myself on this trip. I definitely depend on Google Maps on my phone to get around, even though I've been to all the places I went many times--it's been a while! I have taken very few solo trips, but as an introvert I like spending time by myself as much as I like spending time with other people. I go to movies by myself sometimes, too. :) Thanks for stopping in early and sharing your thoughts, Debra. Looking forward to seeing what you share. :)
DeleteSuch a special and meaningful Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteIt really was! :)
