Welcome to our Current LinkUp:
Will Blog for Comments #75, open January 5 - 15
WHAT'S NEW AROUND HERE
Since linkup #74 was about a month long, I've done a lot since then! My husband and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary by swimming with sea turtles, stingrays, and starfish.

And if you didn't see the changes to the linkup last time, they're still below, with the addition of the linkup now opening (and closing) 2 hours earlier! I know it's better for some of you early birds and some on the east coast (US). For our 2026 linkups, we will:
- be able to share 3 posts, not just 2. I'd love to see more posts! With great power comes great responsibility (🤣 I don't know why that was the quote that came into my head!), so we'll also reach out more by visiting 1 post per post we share. If you share 3, please visit and comment on 3 others. I'd like to have more visible posts and more opportunities for interaction and community.
- no longer share links to other linkups. By expanding to sharing 3 posts now, I've decided to hold off on allowing links to other linkups for the time being.
- have 5 posts in the spotlight. I decided to do the spotlights a little differently this time. I'd been doing just most-visited posts, (top 3 if there are 30 posts, top 4 if there are 40, etc.), but those are almost always the first posts shared at the linkup, so I added a Host's Choice, and now I'm going to shake it up a little. We'll have 3 Most-Visited posts, 1 Lucky Star (chosen at random to be in the spotlight), and 1 The One That Almost Got Away (usually posted later in the linkup window and therefore not receiving as many clicks as the others). This feels like a wider sampling of the wonderful posts shared here.
WHAT'S IN THE SPOTLIGHT THIS TIME
Let's get right to it! If you missed them last time at Will Blog for Comments #74, check them out today by clicking the blue links.
THE 3 MOST-VISITED POSTS (Readers' Choice):
- Christmas Tree Skirt Made with Odds and Ends of Yarn by Linda at Crafty Gardener
- Festive Christmas Charcuterie Board Ideas by Carol at Comfort Spring
- Journaling in Scrapbooks and Photo Books by Jennifer at Between the Bookends
AND THE ONE THAT ALMOST GOT AWAY (Host's Choice):
- Christmas Ornament Oreo Cookies by Lisa at Drugstore Divas

Thanks for another great party, Jennifer! Wishing you a wonderful start to a new school year. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Forever Cloud, too - I always learn so much about the digital world from you (which has definitely been an areaI continue to grow in). Have a wonderful getaway, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laura! I love hearing this! :) And thanks for your well-wishes on the school year and getaway. So happy you're participating in the linkup. We love seeing the creative ideas you have to share.
Deletehi jennifer just shared the buckets and signed up for your newsletter, laura in Colorado
ReplyDeleteOh, that's fantastic, Laura. Thanks for sharing your darling post on decorating with buckets! I'm so happy to hear that. I hope you'll really enjoy the newsletter as well. (P.S. I'm in Colorado, too!) So happy to have you as part of the linkup!

Thanks for being part of our linkup here! Yes, it was such a fun trip. I just love London. I was surprised at how enamored I am now with the Isle of Wight and Dover, too!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Laura. :) I really appreciate that. I'm glad you (and Laurie) will look forward to my new series. It's pretty simple, but I'm excited to share. I'm so glad you are enjoying my ideas for preserving memories. Thank you so much for being a part of the party and everything you bring to Will Blog for Comments. :)
DeleteHappy December, Jennifer! I'm excied for the changes you are making to he link up! You ae such an encourager of fellow bloggers! I hope you know how much that is appreciated! Wishing you a festive month ahead!
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly, Laura! I really appreciate that. :) I hope you have a wonderful month to come also, and a Merry Christmas.
DeleteThose sound like good changes. I'm always late to the link up because I'm only on the computer in the wee hours of the morning, and your link up opens later, so I have to wait until the next day to link up.
ReplyDeleteGood to know, Amy. There are usually just a handful of people posting on the first day the linkup is open, and it honestly seems to trickle in pretty consistently, it's just that the early posts still get the most visits, so I thought it would be nice to shake up the spotlights a little. Now that I think about it, maybe I should change the time as well. I did the 8am-8pm (Mountain Time) thing because it fit my schedule the best for managing the linkup and commenting on each entry back when it was a weekly thing. Now that I've changed to bi-weekly I have more flexibility and could totally get away with changing the open and close times. Hmmm... :) Maybe I'll do that for #75!
DeleteLove the new format and way to choose features. I try to stop back a couple of times for each posting but it doesn't always happen. Thanks so much for the feature for the relaxed thrifted holiday decor. Thing a simpler approach to Christmas has definitely reduced my stress level. Wishing you and your family a wondrous and peaceful Christmas, Jennifer. thanks for hosting this great Blog.
ReplyDeleteLynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Thanks, Lynne--I'm so glad. Yes, remembering to come back to read what others have shared instead of just a drop & run can be challenging, so I find it easiest to just visit other posts at the same time I'm sharing mine on a linkup. Or, if I'm the first, I just leave the tab open on my computer so I remember I wasn't done there. :)
DeleteThe simpler Christmas is such an important thing! It should be joyous, not stressful. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, too, Lynne. Thank you. :)
Thanks for hosting this fun link party on FB! We appreciate you requesting our post of black and white gift tag printables! We also shared our paper stockings. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm so thrilled that you've shared your gift tag printables, and I'm looking forward to looking at your paper stockings post, too! How fun. I hope you'll make posting at our Will Blog for Comments linkup a regular thing, Heidi. :) Merry Christmas!
DeleteWishing you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! You as well. :)
DeleteMerry Christmas Jen! Thanks so much for hosting and warm hospitality each week. I'm sitting at #46&47 this week.
