downloading photos FROM your Heritage Makers account

Heritage Makers stores your photos in full resolution in your Heritage Makers account.  Did you know you can download them back onto your computer, or onto a CD, flash drive, or even someone else's computer?  What a cool way to safeguard your photos, right?

If you want to copy a photo from your Heritage Makers account to your computer (or the other options I mentioned), here's what you do:
  1. Go to the website:  www.heritagemakers.com/jenniferwise.
  2. Login.
  3. Click the "my photos" link at the upper right (sort of middle-ish, really).
  4. Open the folder/album at the left to find the photo you want in your Heritage Makers account.
  5. Once the folder and albums are clicked (opened), you can see your photos at the right.  Select the photo you want to save to your computer by double-clicking on it.
  6. You will see your photo larger, with thumbnails of your other photos below it, and you will see 4 little tabs at the upper right.  (See the second photo I've included above--blogger isn't letting me put it right here).
  7. Click the tab at the far left (a down arrow) to download the photo.  This will open your photo at full resolution.
  8. Right click on the photo that's just opened (if you have a PC--I'm sorry I don't know the Mac instructions; ask me if you need them).  You will have an option to "save image as."  Select that, and go ahead with saving your photo to your computer, CD, or flash drive.
Pretty cool, right?  And easy, too!
