Before we get to my secret of finding photos fast, let me first show you the easiest, most convenient way I know of to organize your photos.
Organizing is the first step to finding photos, and this fantastic method can be accessed on a computer, tablet, and especially your phone with a convenient app.
Having all your photos in one place is a really important way to find your photos fast, so this organizational method does just that. (If your photos are in multiple locations, you'll want to use this brilliant idea along with the tutorial video there.)

I wish I was at the stage to be ready to organize all my photos - first I have to locate them and put them all in one space which might take a bit! Yes, organizing can feel really big, but smaller steps make it doable, and adding descriptions and/or tags make photos so easily and quickly accessible, which is what we want--we want to SEE them! You are right that sometimes less is more when it comes to our photos. Overwhelm is a big barrier to photos sometimes, so making things easier on ourselves really matters!
